The Garmin Astro 220 Handheld Unit
There are about ten of us who get together to go bird hunting, and everyone has their own dogs. Back in the day everyone would bring their own tracking device, and some days we looked more like a space walk than a hunting trip. Now with the Garmin Astro 220 and the Garmin Astro DC-30 independent collars, we can track all of the dogs from one or two handheld devices. The system has easy to read GPS screens, and it has a range of about 7 miles. The Garmin Astro 220 will also let a hunter see up to three dogs’ locations relative to each other. So far this system has been flexible enough for us all to use with everyone’s dogs. What an improvement from the old days!
